For all of you wanting/needing a bit of Half-Continent action as we wait for October/ November/ some time not toooooo far away, Legends of Australian Fantasy has hit the shelves and it has a story of mine in it, a whole new non-Rossamünd, Half-Continent story of 90 pages long! If you can not tell, I am very excited...
Unfortunately it is currently only an Australian release, but we hope to reach the world with it soon.
Gorgeous cover, and huzzah that you're included in the "legend" category!
ReplyDeleteSnap. I'm so going to my local QBD and getting one.
ReplyDeleteWo-ow! If it wasn't for the fact that it's 8:39 pm, I'd be at the first book store I can find buying this...
ReplyDeletehaha if it wasn't 8.48pm, i would be down the street too. I am so excited to get this! yay!
ReplyDeleteSounds great!! I really like the idea of an 'assorted sample box' of fantasy stories! (don't worry about that metaphor Dave - I'm sure yours will be a choc truffle, not a peppermint or pineapple soft centre!!)
ReplyDeleteIs there any way for non-Aussie to get their hands on this? Because I need it ferociously.
ReplyDeleteFlying to Australia to buy
ReplyDeletesigh. have no money to go to australia and purchase book. sad.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I will get it as soon as possible. Is it everywhere or only at specific retailers?
ReplyDeleteFor the non-Aussies here, you can get it online through Dymocks:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.dymocks.com.au/ProductDetails/ProductDetail.aspx?R=9780732288488
However, it's $35AU + $30AU postage. Not cheap.
Angus & Robertson and Borders both have it on their sites, but not yet available through their online stores. Otherwise Google "australian bookstores" and you'll find a whole host of Australian book merchants to check.
(hint: the three book sellers I mentioned above will probably have the Australian hard-cover version of Factotum as well sometime after September/October).
Happy hunting.
$65...oooh ouch.
ReplyDeleteThat would be about 440 SKR...
ReplyDeleteI´ve tried my nearest book-stores and looked at the swedish online-bookstores, none have the book. Have to wait and see if the book will land here somewhere.
I think I saw this book in my favourite book shop, I've always wanted to get a sci-fi fantasy compilation now I have an excuse! Yay I'll tell my fellow Monster Bloodies the good news :) Congrats on getting your story in there I look forward to reading it!

ReplyDeleteExcited for this book! Will probably have to wait a bit to read it (come on Canada publishers!), but excited none-the-less.
ReplyDeleteAww, crap. I accidently posted this in the previous entry. Oh well. It's here now.
ReplyDeleteI made a MBT Fansite because I couldn't finda ny. It's not too good, but I hope it will expand.

Note that the "N" is missing in "monster". It is because (1.) I misspelled it and (2.)the correct spelling was already taken by a Role-Playing site that is not connected to us (that I know of).
Hope you like it anyway. :)
I opened up the webpage and was like, HOLY CRAP! IT'S A BOOK!
ReplyDeleteHopefully this will tide all of us over until we can finally get our hands on that (certain to be delicious) Factotum.
Getting it next week. Can't wait. I think I scared the man in the bookshop with my excitement but hey, I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a new book to buy, looks like this one is the one!!
